A bicornuate uterus is an abnormality in which the uterus appears to be heart shaped. Women with a bicornuate uterus are born with it and often have affected reproductive capabilities.

Metro IVF had 2 such patients who underwent IVF in October 2018. Both patients conceived with a single fetus, one in the left horn and the other in the right horn.

Mdm. H, 33 from Puchong has been trying to conceive for 3 years. She underwent IVF and 2 embryos were transferred on the 26th of October 2018. Her pregnancy is ongoing with an 8 weeks fetus with heart seen in the left horn.

Mdm. L 28 who has a dominant right uterine horn underwent IVF and embryo transferred on the 22nd October 2018. Ultrasound scan on the 9th of December 2018 shows a 9 weeks old fetus with heart beat in her right uterine horn.
